At a press conference earlier today, Superintendent Van Zant announced his directive to suspend any rezoning in the Oakleaf/Argyle area schools. In his statement, he said “the voice of the community has been heard”. District staff will work on alternative solutions based upon ideas from parents, teachers and other community members. The District Advisory Committee along with district staff will begin the work in the next few months to look at long term plans to reduce overcrowding that do not involve moving our children. The Parent Meeting Scheduled at Orange Park High on February 4th for the Argyle incoming 9th graders has been cancelled but we welcome your ideas and feedback moving forward.
